   It’s great to see information and discussion on lowchens! We had 2 - Heidi and Gretchen. Gretchen lived until she was 17 years without any health issues. Her sister, Heidi, died when she was 14 or 15 years old - again, a healthy dog until old age got the best of her. I really miss having a small dog that loved to snuggle and was also able to take walks in the woods with us. We are now thinking about adding a lowchen to our “big dog” family.

   Was not one of your dogs sired by “Tiger”, the black Lowchen pictured in this blog, who went to live in Germany to help the German breeders expand their gene pool?

   Our previous lowchens were sired by Berdot’s Wallace. I can’t recall if that was Tiger. Do you know?
