Interested in the sport of purebred dogs?
The Genesee Valley Kennel Club is located in the Monroe/Wayne county area and is an active AKC all-breed purebred club. The club was incorporated in 1936 and this year will be conducting their 76th and 77th AKC all-breed dog show in July.
Club meetings are on the second Monday of the month, every month except August. The meetings are open to the general public. This is a great opportunity to meet other people who know and understand purebred dogs. While many of our members show and breed their dogs, this is not a requirement of club membership.
Besides the two all-breed dog shows, the club has a very active web site. In addition, the club offers a breeder referral program, show handling classes, puppy socialization classes, CGC classes, first aid for dogs classes, matches, etc.
Please take time to look at the club’s web site for more information about activities and membership.
